Day 27: To the city

Hello people, together with my 6 classmates and Mr Dhanen, we went to the City: Cun xi lu! :D It's an adventurous day. We took a school bus to the old school building and then walk to a bus stop at a cross junction to take bus service 45 to the city. It's really great, the land are filled with shopping malls and shopping streets. We spend a few hours at the local "bugis street". We call it bugis street because the place is just like our Sg bugis street, its cramp, narrow walking lanes and squeezy but filled with goodies like clothes and accesories. Since I left with a week in Chengdu, I have to spend my money wisely as I have been spending a huge amount for the past few days. Hence, I only bought a pants for school wear and a sweater. I left out many of my wanted goodies. For the entire trip, I was doing self convincing like, "this clothe is really ugly... no.. this is way too expensive, I can get from sg bugis street too.. this doesnt suit me... no i'm too short for this...". And so, I made it! I really save a lot of expenses today. But true enough, there are many things I can get from Singapore too. We visited H&M and some branded outlets like Converse, Kappa, Adidas. Since they are international departmental stores, their price are around the same. So why not just save the expenses and make some luggage spaces for other local goodies? :)

Bus ride from school to the old school building. 2yuan. The bus is not air-conditioned. Instead, there is a window on the bus roof top opened up, it was very windy and cooling.

Shopping bags of 3 people. Please deduct away 2 shoping bags to see the normal shoppings made by 2 people :x

Dinner at Ajisen. It was my first time having Ajisen. I heard the dish here is cheaper than Singapore.
The meat ball tasted great! I like cheese
 Japanese dumplings
 KFC. Yes, they sell rice

Halt a cab from the shopping street. It was comfortable enough. It cost us 110yuan to cab back to school. I just learnt that the local provide illegal cab too.
TV playing some advertisements.

Conclusion:
It was a fun trip to the city. I met many types of people today. I felt that both the locals and Singapore have many types of people. I should stop being naive thinking that the locals are filled with kind souls. When I was shopping at the "bugis street", some of their clothes are expensive hence I don't wish to buy. But they are willing to give more discount. But I just don't wish to buy it. And so, the sales staff scolded me and make curses at the back. Some of the store keepers would make faces if we left their shop not buying things. I speak nicely with soft tone but they would shout back that the products are already cheap enough why arent I buying it. Some staff would ask for our nationality before giving us the price. I wanted to say I'm the local student. People should learnt to say they are local student, here to study instead of telling people they are from Singapore. Lesson learn: if you are not interested in their products, never ask for pricing first.

Day 26: Panda Breeding Centre/Sanctuary & Happy Valley

Hello people, today I went to the Panda Breeding Centre and Happy Valley. I have to say, this is the best trip in Chengdu! :D I enjoy myself a lot and I get to see and experience new things. I've never seen pandas before and I've never ride on Merry-go-round swing and some extreme rides. And also finally, I found a gift that my father would like :) I felt so great!

 Panda Sanctuary:

Red pandas. I always thought they are extinct :x
 Stages of panda growth development:

Obeservations of what panda do:
They climb trees too

  Just some coloured ducks :x
The way they approached people, it kinds of shows a formation. Perhaps they are trained?

 Black swan
What is this? Colored ducks again?
Mummy swan protecting her baby and chasing away fishes from her babies

Happy Valley:
It was really exciting and thrilling when taking extreme rides. For the second ride I took, it was like spinning madly, extremely fast, spinning while rushing up and down. I can feel the wind slapping on my face. It was like a torture to me. When the ride which it's highest height, I felt that the pressure is pressing my heart down to my rib cage, I wouldn't breathe and got to push the pressure away by pushing my rib cage out. It was a painful 3 mins. Of course, there is a level of danger. Glad I survive. I was feeling nausea for quite some time before I took my 3rd ride.

I'm really thankful for today's trip, it lets me explore more of Chengdu and give me fun experience. If not, I wouldn't know how it feels like to take rides and I wouldn't get to see the pandas.
